Ahhhhhhhhhh....the joys of getting things accomplished. I've been saying for like 2 or 3 days that I wanted to get my floors mopped and certain rooms cleaned and rearranged and today is the day that I finally got it all done. Yeah!!!! I moved the living room around a little bit, actually is was just the computer desk because as jaie will tell you....my living room is absurdly small and there isn't much room for anything and the stuff that I do have in there makes it look disgustingly cluttered. Anyway....today was the day that I wanted to get everything done and I did manage it even with the heat. My kitchen is now rearranged and clean...both the bathrooms are clean and I even did the floors (Something I absolutely dread). I do feel better about having it done though because it means that I'll have more time to enjoy the weekend maybe. I guess it's supposed to rain here and I still can't sucker anyone into watching my kids so we probably won't be doing much of anything. |

It never fails to amaze me that when you really need someone they're nowhere to be found...... Yet when they need you...you're always there and in the off chance that you're not....you're a piece of shit. Take for example M's sister, who said yeah "I'll babysit if when you need me"...What she should have said was "I'll babysit for you when it 's convenient for me". To make a long sordid story short....I have been without a babysitter since the end of June....needless to say that M and I have had absolutely NO "US" time. Don't get me wrong....I love my children...but I can only spend so much time with them before I starting pulling my hair out. I figure I'll be bald by the end of the summer. If I hear the words "I'm bored..there's nothing to do" one more time, I may very well have a nervous breakdown. Never mind the fact that I went out and bought them a pool, never mind that they have a shit load of toys and stuff up in their bedrooms....no they're "bored". Of course when I say "hey you're bored? Why don't you go clean your room?" They miraculously find something to do. I need a break.
I've been trying unsuccessfully to get the house cleaned, reorganized and uncluttered. I spend the whole day cleaning just one room only to have the kids and even M trash it by the end of the night. The kids are one thing...I mean I expect them to be messy....they are kids after all but the two oldest who are 8 and 6....should pick up after themselves and they don't due to shear laziness on their part. Now M....lol.....he's 36 years old. I knew his mother (God rest her soul) and I know his father....both of them were/are cleaning machines. When Dad came to visit not to long ago he was cleaning my house at 6am before anyone got up. So with that in mind...there is no reason why M should be such a friggin' slob! Dirty socks under the computer desk, empty soda cans all over the damn house and while I know he busts his ass working all day (sometimes only half the day)....is there any particular reason he can't help clean? He'll tell you "I did the dishes 3 times"....that's for the month sweetheart....I do them the other 27-28 times. In his defense I NEVER let him touch the laundry for fear of my good jeans or good shirts coming out covered in whatever greasy dirty mess he's played in....the man hasn't the first clue about separating. I will give him a little credit...he will cook dinner occasionally.
In other news...I went to the college today to see about going back for another degree. I was told that I needed to speak with a counselor and fill out paperwork for a "dual" degree. I have an appointment for Monday. If all goes well I should be set to start in September.
Well, time to go clean another room. Hope my sister and nephew are having fun on their vacation in Canada and I hope they come home REALLY REALLY REALLY SOON!!! |

It is grotesquely(sp?) hot here and from what the weather channel says....there isn't to be an relief anytime soon except for maybe a couple days here and there where it'll be just below 80 degrees. Here's a link for my 10 day forecast http://www.weather.com/outlook/recreation/outdoors/tenday/13069?from=36hr_topnav_outdoors
And yeah I know they're calling for thunderstorms on a couple of those days but for me they just make it muggier outside.
The whole idea of me having this laptop was so that I could sit outside & enjoy the fresh air while enjoying the use of my computer at the same time. Ha Ha....it's too damn hot out and I have absolutely no shade around here so alas here I sit in my semi-cool living room. On a good note I did manage to get some yard work done this morning but by the time I got done mowing it was too hot to put all the yard toys back so they sit idle while i wait for the sun to go away. I'm also trying to come up with the money to get one of those quick set pools for the kids. I saw one at Wal*Mart yesterday for $49.88, the local Dollar General has one for $55. Not sure what size either one is but at this point....anything is better than nothing. Family Dollar has an 8'round x 30"deep for $24.99 and I'm thinking that it may be just right for the kids. I'm waiting to see what M thinks of the idea when he gets home. Personally the only thing I might use it for is to go skinny dipping in after the kids go to bed...hehe ;D
Oh what to have for dinner tonight? I'm thinking something easy that I can cook outside so I don't have to heat the house with the stove. M took out sausage the other night so I'm thinking sausage and hotdogs, salad and maybe some watermelon for desert. I'm sure the kids will enjoy more than everyone else.
Well I suppose that's all for now....maybe more later or tomorrow. |

Okay, so I haven't updated in quite a while.....nothing to really talk about I guess. But today is just one of those days where I really need to vent and no one is around to vent to....so here I am.
I am the proud owner of a beautiful new Dell laptop, which means I can do whatever on the computer and I don't have to worry about certain persons snooping in my email and myspace.
My day started out okay I guess, nothing really out of the ordinary to speak of. Typical curt replies to M's questions because he's an asshole who needs to get a grip on reality. L the demon that she is pulled the usual stunt of cleaning out her dresser and closet, did the laundry and the dishes, cleaned the living room, yada yada....typical everyday stuff in my mundane life.
This is where my day starts to get bad. I call my local Social Security office to double check and make sure that someone who requested my sons information used it for what he "said" he was going to use it for. See I made the stupid mistake of giving my son's grandmother the benefit of the doubt....silly me. Anyway, lo and behold....I was lied to. Needless to say I've spent the better part of two friggin hours on the phone with different state and federal agencies trying to find out what exactly my sons social security number was used for. Of course no one can release any information to me....although the people at the Social Security Administration where VERY nice and VERY helpful. They reassured me that they would keep an eye on the situation and told me to check J's credit report every 3 months or so just to make sure someone hasn't tried or succeeded at opening any accounts in his name. But let me just tell you that when I get a hold of certain individuals that are involved in this situation....HEADS ARE GOING TO F'IN ROLL!!!!!!!!!! I mean honestly...if you wanted the info so you could claim the non-custodial parent credit on your taxes....fine...but why did you need to lie to me about it? You paid your child support all year....lol...it may not have been because you wanted to because we all know that you bitch about it EVERY SINGLE WEEK, but hey you paid it. Seriously....can my life get any figgin' better than this?
Ahhhh well, atleast the weather is holding out. It's supposed to be super hot this week, who know maybe there'll be a trip to the beach...although I'm not counting on it.
Well, I guess that all the updating I can stomach for now, my. head is pounding from the stress |

So, it's been a while since my last post...of course I haven't had jaie up here to nudge me either. Can't say there's really been much to update about anyway, so noone is really missing much. Christmas was good. Kids didn't get everything they wanted but were happy anyway. I got a bunch of baking supplies, like cookie sheets, bread pans, cake pans, etc., and also some pot holders and an egg timer, which is exactly what I had asked for. Sr. got some clothes and stuff. We're still waiting to hook up with my Dad for Christmas present exchanging. Ironically, we're still waiting for last year's gifts from him. New Year's went out with a soft bang for us. Sr. and I went out...noone got absurdley drunk but we had fun anyway. No resolutions for me this year....I can make resolutions all I want....we all know I'll never follow through with them. I think resolutions are a waste of time and just another way to keep our minds off the fact that we're going to be another year older.
In other news....I have another computer in the house...Yah!!!!! I like this because my wonderful nephew _tarquin_, little putz that he is ( I will get you pookie so live in fear), got Sr. addicted to play Halo on the computer. Anyway......the computer is like my newer one...it's a Compaq Presario, but it's a 5000 series and it has Windows 98se on it. The operation system isn't a big deal because I actually like 98. The nice thing is that unlike the other two computers that were given to me some time ago, this one actually connects to the internet through my DSL modem. Yah, Yah, and even more Yah's!!! I had a friend come over the other day and he put more memory in it which took it from 64mb of RAM to 199mb of Ram, he also put in another hard drive. I had one drive that was 10.5gb and he installed a 40gig drive to go with it. He still has a little work to do on it for me as far as drivers go but otherwise the computer suites my needs. The only other thing I need for it is a new processor. The current processor is only 600Mhz, which means I can't do certain things but this will all change soon hopefully. Well I suppose I should go clean my house. I had _tarquin_ here most of vacation so I'm still trying to get everyting back in order. More later. |

I haven't received any nudges but I'll update anyway...just because.
Not alot going on around here. Managed to enjoy the summer. Got the bills caught over the beginning of this month and am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy to have the boys back in school.
I went back to work Monday with a friend. We rehab mobile homes. We're currently working on a really nice two bedroom that needs major work because the previous owners had no clue as to what they were doing. Sr. just got let go from his job of 2 months because they said they had no more work for him so needless to say he's back on the job market. On top of everything else, that wonderful van that I was so happy to have...is now sitting at a friends garage waiting to be worked on because we're sick of banging our heads on the wall trying to figure out what the problem is. Can't wait to find out what it's gonna cost to fix it.
So that's the happenings in my world as of late. I'll probably post again in another month or so. |

MOSCOW (Reuters) - A crocodile survived a fall from the 12th floor of a Russian apartment block after making an escape bid through a window, emergency services said on Wednesday.
Diving out of the window has become a habit for the crocodile, called Khenar, with concerned neighbors saying it was the third time he had used that method to flee, Moskovsky Komsomolets daily reported.
The crocodile lost one tooth in the latest fall but was otherwise unscathed, said a spokeswoman for the emergencies ministry in the Nizhny Novgorod region of central Russia.
"It seems the owner was not at home when the crocodile came out of the window," she said.
Emergency services put the crocodile in a local aquarium to recover from his fall. Within a few hours his concerned owner came to pick him up and the crocodile was last seen lying on the back seat of his owner's car. |

BERLIN (Reuters) - A German farmer angry with police for trying to confiscate his tractor wrecked three patrol cars and evaded capture for seven hours before an elite unit managed to arrest him, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
The farmer, 53, was pulled over by police for driving his tractor without a license, despite several previous warnings.
The officers called in three patrol cars for help before asking the farmer to get out of his vehicle.
He refused, and proceeded to ram the cars with his tractor, making full use of its attached muck spreader and hydraulic fork. Officers were only just able to scramble out of harm's way.
The farmer then drove into a forest, where he eluded a manhunt involving two helicopters and an armored car for seven hours.
He was finally found by an elite police team in a barn on his farm in Lauterbach, in central Germany.
"In the countryside we're used to people going at police with muck spreaders, but this was something else," a police spokesman said.
The farmer faces charges of assault and resisting police. |

BERLIN (Reuters) - A fashion model who features in a high-profile advertising campaign for Deutsche Telekom has threatened to seek another provider after waiting three months for the company to install a new phone line at her apartment. The 27-year-old model, known as Dora, can be seen smiling brightly in posters across Germany for Telekom's new high speed connection service. But she told Bild newspaper Tuesday she was fed up with waiting for her Berlin home to be connected.
"I'll give them another week but that's it. After that, I'm going to switch to another provider," the model said.
A Deutsche Telekom spokesman could not be reached for comment. But Bild quoted a Telekom official saying they would be in touch with Dora right away. |

Not a whole lot going on around here. Housework is done, kids are bathed and fed. Jr is outside playing, L is inside with me getting into everything and J is in school.
Waiting for T to get back from his takeover of the Canadian border because honestly.....I really need a weekend out. He'll be happy to find out when he returns that the vehicle shall be on the road next week but he'll have to watch the two younger ones while I go to the DMV to get the plates. I definately have work for him this coming month due to seperate Dr. appts. for each of the kids, grocery shopping, etc. We're trying to get a cell phone plan started and hopefully be able to give him one of our pre-paids and then we can take his babysitting money and use it for school and such. We'll have to see what happens with getting a family share plan for M and I. |

I really need to update more but I never seem to be able to find the time. The next person that tells me that I don't have a hard job....is going to get, no slapped....but punched in the face. Better yet I'll let them switch spots with me for one day...I can promise they won't last 5 minutes.
Anyway...I go in Tuesday for my much awaited surgery. Looking forward to the night away from home...I consider it a mini-vacation. I've explained to the children that mommy is having an operation and she won't be super cranky anymore. They seem to understand it but it's hard to say with those two.
Hope to have the van on the road around the middle of June and then I can start driving to where I need to go. I don't mind walking but with the heat the last couple of days....it's getting fairly tiring.
Well that's all for now I suppose. Not really much else to talk about. |

| [ | Current Mood |
| | aggravated | ] | Two weeks & 2 days until my surgery and I absolutely cannot wait. Don't get me wrong, it is considered major surgery so I am a bit nervous about it but considering the way things have been going the last couple of weeks, I'm sorta looking at it like a mini vacation. I get to spend the night in the hospital...one night away from the kids, one night away from Sr and one night away from this nightmare we call our lives. Sr has officially been out of work almost three weeks now and to say he's slowly getting on my nerves is an understatement. I love the man dearly but he can be annoying sometimes. It certainly doesn't help that without his weekly paycheck and the boys' SSI only coming once a month, we are slowly sinking further into debt. We have a vehicle that can't be put on the road until beginning of next month because we just don't have the money and we're quickly running out of simple things like food. While the children love PB&J, even they get sick of it after a while. We go next thursday to sign up for funny money, which under the circumstances, definately can't be denied this time. When Sr was working we made to much money for any type of assistance. Now however that is not the case. Sr isn't necessarily please about having to go and apply but I have calmly explained to him that (A) We don't have a choice and (B) He's paid into the system for oh, about 21 years (he stated working when he was 15), it's about time the system helped us out a little with all the tax money he's paid in. In other news, the little girl I've been babysitting is really starting to twist my last nerve. Sometimes she can be a real great kid but then there are those days when I just want to put her in the corner for the day. Today is one of those days. It all started yesterday when she decided that she was going to steal Jr's school snack. Sr caught it however and managed to get it out of her bag before she left. This morning however while I was upstairs getting the boys ready for school, she snuck into the snack drawer and got it again, opened it and started eating it. This isn't the first time she's done it but it's definately the last as I've found a new hiding place for the items. It was a little harder to catch this time because I thought she was behaving by sitting on the couch only to find that she had it hidden under the blanket and was sneaking it into her mouth. I just about lost it. I can't stand sneaky and most of all I can't stand stealing (I did enough of that in my younger years to know that it can hurt the people you love). I think what upset me more though is the fact that those snacks have to last Jr until I can get him more and I honestly don't know when that will be. Hopefully it won't be long before we have plently of food in the house but from experience I know that our local Social Services likes to take their sweet ass time processing cases. Ahhh, to be needy and at the mercy of the powers that be...it's such a wonderful feeling. Well that's all for now. More later if I can steal the computer away from Sr. |

Okay so it's time to make my once in a while update. I figure I'll get it done now before the baby gets up. Not sure where to to begin.... Let's see I got pulled over by a Trooper the last weekend of April....I love those guys...really I do. Got me because the tail light wasn't working...I knew I was screwed because the truck was completely screwed. I got five tickets out of the deal and now I have to have a lawyer to get them all figured out. Anyway, the trooper took the plates to the truck (yes they were mine but they were suspended) and this left Sr. with no way to get back and forth to work. We live in Fulton and he works in Camden. Anyway....we ended up telling GMAC to come get the truck because there was no way (with Sr not working) that we were gonna be able to catch up the payments we owed. We did however manage to find another vehicle but it's gonna be a little while before it gets put on the road. It a Chrysler Town and Country Caravan. I love this van because it's all electrical, and I can fit all the kids in it. I'll probably post pics of it later. In other news, I go in for my surgery June 5th. I'm not sure when I'll be up and walking around but considering how long it took after my C-section...probably in a couple days. Well I guess that's all for now, maybe more later if I'm not busy. |

Thank you, eBay Here's the problems with this email.....#1...that's NOT my username. #2...that NOT my IP Address or my ISP Host. So I try to log into my account but I can't. Fortunately everything is still tied to my email address so I am able to go in and change my password and security question BUT...I can't change the username back to what it's supposed to be. I sent an email to ebay but alas, no response and I honestly don't expect one anytime soon. Why can't these companies have telephone number with real human beings to answer the phones? |

[Apr. 11th, 2007|10:45 am] |
| [ | Current Mood |
| | calm | ] | Ahhh, another fun filled spring vacation day filled with the sounds of screaming kids who don't want to listen or do what they're told. I think the school administrator who created all these week long vacations should be tied to a school desk and smacked with a ruler catholic school style. I personally don't see the need for all these vacations...it's not the kids who need time off....it's the parents.
Anyway, my day is set to be a pretty busy one filled with laundry, dishes and other cleaning duties. M got called into work so he's gone till at least 6pm, which basically means that my children will test my patience to the fullest because they know their father isn't home to help. It's moments like this when I wish I had a babysitter so I could go get a job.
Hopefully the kids with adhere to my quiet-time rule and I'll be able to get some if not all of the housework done, although I'm not counting on it. L is good about it because she's 18 mos. old and it's nap time for her. Jr and J on the other hand are 5 and 7 and don't understand the need for quiet and cleanliness.
My B-day and Easter were good. For my B-day M took me shopping. We started at K-mart, he handed me $25 and told me to get myself anything I wanted. Sadly, I'm a clothes addict (mostly because I didn't have alot when I was younger)so I headed straight for the clothing section. K-mart SUCKS!!!! They seem to be under the impression that everyone who shops at the Fulton store is fat or wears nothing less than a size 8. Now Wal-mart carries my size but they don't carry the style of jeans that I desire. Anyway....I've become a cheap person in my old age and I just CANNOT justify spending $15 - $20 on a pair of jeans that I really don't like and will only wear once or twice. M was extremely amused when I kindly asked that he take me to the local Salvation Army where I can but at least 4 or five outfits for $25 or less. I happily managed to find 3 pairs of jeans in the style that I love, a gorgeous deep red neglige with matching panties, a pair of brown high heel boots, a black leather button up top, a grey satin shirt for M, and a sun catcher, all this for a total of $24.95. Some may call me cheap but ya know what...all the stuff I bought look like the tags could have still be on them. The sun catcher was actually still in the package with everything needed to paint it (which I did last night). Needless to say I got everything I wanted to needed for my b-day. The kids were happy with their baskets for the easter bunny even though they got more fruit and toys than candy.
Well, I suppose I should quit stalling and get started on the housework. Have a great day everyone. |
